This tool uses text rules, not AI, and it cannot read an image. Photographing handwriting is what the app does; here you type the lines yourself, which takes longer but shows you exactly what a card set from your notes looks like. Your text stays in the browser and is never sent anywhere.
Why your own notes beat the chapter
A chapter contains everything the author thought a reader might need. Your notes contain what you judged worth writing while the clock was running, which is a far harsher filter and a more useful one. Taking notes is already an act of selection, so cards made from them start closer to the exam than cards made from the source.
What makes handwriting hard to read
Not neatness, mostly. Recognition copes with untidy letters better than people expect and struggles with other things: heavy slant, joined script where letters merge, pencil that has smudged, and pale ink on grey paper. Contrast matters more than beauty, and daylight fixes most of it for free.
Notes written as pairs become cards directly
A line in the form term followed by its meaning is already a card, front and back, and needs no interpretation at all. This is worth knowing before the lecture rather than after: writing definitions that way costs nothing extra while you listen and removes a whole step later. Lines that are not pairs become gap prompts instead, which works but is a rougher instrument.
Abbreviations, and the one thing to avoid
Personal shorthand survives better than you would guess, since a card only has to mean something to you. The exception is a symbol you invented and used inconsistently, an arrow that meant leads to on Tuesday and increases on Thursday. That ambiguity was already costing you when you reread the page; a card just makes it visible. Fix the symbol, not the card.
What a photograph of handwriting cannot do
It cannot correct you. If a definition you copied down was wrong, the card will be faithfully wrong, and a confident wrong card is worse than no card because you will rehearse it. The cheap defence is to check the three or four items you are least sure about against the source before the first review session, rather than checking everything or nothing.

Does WeSolve+ read handwriting?
It reads a photograph of handwriting, which is the normal case: you write on paper and photograph the page. Writing inside the app with a stylus is not supported.
Does my handwriting need to be neat?
Less than you think. Contrast and letter separation matter more than tidiness, so daylight and a pen do more good than careful lettering.
How should I write notes so they become cards easily?
Write definitions as the term, then its meaning on the same line. That form is already a card with a front and a back, and it costs nothing extra during the lecture.
Will my abbreviations break it?
