Comparison

Quizizz did not close. It is called Wayground now

If you searched for Quizizz and landed somewhere called Wayground, nothing has gone wrong. The company renamed the product and its own homepage says so directly. This page explains what that means and then does the comparison against the live product.

Short answer

Wayground is Quizizz under a new name, built for teachers assigning work to a class. WeSolve+ is built for one student turning their own file into practice.

WeSolve+ is best for a single student working from material they already have, which is a different job from assigning a set to thirty people.

WeSolve+ reads the whole document and writes the questions for you

Upload your PDF, photograph your notebook, or point the camera. WeSolve+ writes questions from that material, explains why each answer is right, reads the chapter back to you as a podcast, and remembers every item you missed until you own it.

Start free!

The tool below is a small browser-only tool and it is not WeSolve+: paste a few lines and text rules turn them into cards on the spot. The real app, the one that uses AI, is behind the link above.

One student, one file

This is a browser-only tool, and that is all it isIt splits the text you paste by rule, and nothing else. WeSolve+ is a different thing entirely: it reads your whole PDF with AI, writes the reasoning behind every question, speaks the chapter back to you, and remembers what you missed so it can return it. Try the real app now, free!

This tool uses text rules, not AI, and it assigns nothing to anybody. There is no class code and no teacher dashboard, because it is built for one person working alone. Your text stays in the browser and is never sent anywhere.

The rename, and how to confirm it yourself

Type quizizz.com and your browser lands on wayground.com, whose page title reads that Quizizz is now Wayground and whose own copy describes the product as formerly Quizizz. Measured on 11 August 2026. This is a rebrand rather than a closure or a sale: the product runs, the accounts work, the name is different. That distinction matters because the internet is full of pages announcing that a tool died when it only changed its sign.

What the product is organised around

A teacher builds or picks a set and assigns it; students work through it at their own pace; the teacher sees who struggled with what. That is asynchronous by design, which is why it survives homework in a way a live game does not, and its own help centre is the place to check what any current tier includes. The unit of value is a class: thirty people, one set, one report. Everything in the design follows from there.

Why the report is the actual feature

The score list is the least interesting output; the distribution is the useful one. Knowing that eleven of thirty picked the same wrong option identifies a misconception with an address, and ten minutes spent on it beats an hour spent on the topic generally. That is formative assessment doing its actual job, and it is the thing a class product can do that a solo one structurally cannot: you need thirty answers before a distribution exists.

Where a class product leaves a student alone

Two gaps show up for the individual. The set covers what the teacher assigned, which is rarely the same as what you personally keep getting wrong, and nothing carries your own errors from one assignment to the next. And the material is theirs: if your revision problem is a chapter nobody has made a set for, an assignment platform has no route in. Neither is a criticism of the product, because it was not built for that; they are just the places where a student ends up needing something else.

What WeSolve+ does from a single file

Give it a document, a photographed page or a camera shot and it returns explained questions, a card deck and about a minute of audio drawn from that source. The items you miss are held back and returned later, which is the individual version of the report: your own distribution across weeks rather than a class distribution on one afternoon. A friend can be challenged on the same set if you want the social part. Free to begin on the web and on iPhone, counted by file. Figures on pricing.

Which to use, and when

If you are a teacher with a class and a syllabus, an assignment platform is the right shape and this page is not arguing otherwise; the report alone justifies it. If you are one student with a chapter, an assignment platform gives you somebody else's set and no memory of your own mistakes. Most people who search for Quizizz are in the first group, which is why the product is large. The second group is who this site is written for.

Sources used on this page

Did Quizizz shut down?

No. It was renamed Wayground and the product is running. Its own homepage title says Quizizz is now Wayground, which you can confirm by opening the old address.

Do my old sets and account still work?

A rename is not a sale or a shutdown, so the expectation is that they do. Anything specific about accounts is a question for their help centre rather than for a competitor's page.

Is it still free?

Tiers change and a figure quoted here would go stale the day it moves. Their own pages are the source, and this page deliberately does not repeat prices.

What can a class product do that WeSolve+ cannot?

Show a distribution. Thirty answers reveal which wrong option attracted a third of the room, and that is a misconception with an address. One person cannot produce a distribution.

What can WeSolve+ do that a class product cannot?

Start from your own file and remember your own mistakes across weeks. An assignment covers what the teacher set, which is rarely what you personally keep missing.

Does the tool on this page assign anything?

No. There is no class code and no dashboard. It converts what you paste and keeps nothing.
