The definitions decide the calculation
Almost every AP Chemistry mistake that looks arithmetical starts earlier, in a definition. If limiting reactant is fuzzy, the stoichiometry is doomed before a single number is written. If you cannot say what a conjugate base is without hesitating, buffer questions become guesswork dressed as chemistry. The fix is unglamorous and costs nothing: get the vocabulary to the point where you produce it rather than recognise it. That is what the tool at the top of this page is for, and it works from your own notes rather than a generic term list.
Turning a lab handout into questions
Lab write ups are the most under used study material in the course. They contain the exact procedures, the exact reagents and the exact sources of error your teacher cares about, and almost nobody revisits them. Photograph the handout or upload the PDF and the app builds questions from it: what the control was, why a step was performed, what would change if a variable moved. Those questions cannot be bought in a review book because that lab was yours.
Equilibrium and acids, where recognition fails
Le Chatelier problems feel easy in the moment because the reasoning is short. That shortness is the trap: you follow it, feel fluent, and never test whether you can generate it. Roediger and Karpicke put a number on this gap in 2006, comparing students who tested themselves on a passage against students who reread it. A week later the testing group remembered clearly more, while reporting that rereading had felt more productive. Fluency during study is a poor predictor of what survives to the exam.
Spacing a year long course
AP Chemistry runs from autumn to May, which means the units you learned first are the ones you have forgotten most by exam week. Cepeda and colleagues reviewed 254 studies of spacing in 2006 and found the same total minutes spread across days beat massing them, consistently. Practically: a short retrieval pass on gas laws in March, long after the unit ended, is worth more than an extra hour of new practice in April. Stoichiometry is where a wrong number does the most damage
There is a specific reason we do not print the exam's section counts or weights on this page. Chemistry students calibrate their revision against those numbers, deciding how many hours the free response deserves, and a stale figure quietly misallocates a month. The College Board owns those figures, publishes them on the exam page linked below, and changes them between cycles. What this page can do is turn your own notes into practice; what it should not do is stand between you and the awarding body's own words.
Running it on a school laptop
Everything at the top of this page happens inside the browser tab, so it works on a locked down school machine with no install and no sign in. Reading a lab PDF is the app's job. Can it build AP Chemistry questions from my lab reports?

What happens to a photo of my lab notebook?
A photo is sent to the app to be read. A photograph of handwritten notes works, and so does a scan of a printed page, which is the only way to get material you never typed into a question. The tool on this page never receives anything: it sees only the text you paste and makes no network request at all.
